Sorrry haven't posted much recently. Been really busy. Have 8 weeks to go.

I have been working three jobs so I haven't had much time to post here although I will try to post at least once a week or so.

I am starting a job tomorrow locally. We will see how it goes. Actually it is with someone is Muslim I think.

Hope the new job works well for you and the ones you are also doing now. Maybe you'll get some work after the rush of tax season is over.

I am nosy, but wonder, how do you get all the stuff done for Passover??? Maybe you go away, probably the easiest thing to do!!

I probably should run really fast bringing up Passover now.... :)

I don't really have that much to do as I have only three rooms in my apartment.

At least this year Passover comes on April 19th according to the Rabbi's. I was just reading that the whole calculation of the moon was done by Babylonian scientists and the Rabbi's took this info for their own calender and pretended they had this tradition of the moon cycle which I now think is baloney. They stole the work of Babylonian scientists (some who may have been Jewish scientists)
Some Rabbi's love to steal the work of someone else without giving credit.

The Karaites actually do have a moon sighting which I thought was interesting and I think their date is the safe if their is a leap month which that part I don't understand at this point.

Sometimes I go to my Maternal Uncle if he is around otherwise I don't know what I am doing.

Most Jewish people enjoy keeping first born men down if they have any siblings that are girls which really is really acting like what God did for us was a mistake saving the Jewish first born males.

I celebrate the holiday as best I can (obviously I don't eat any chametz) but it is usually a lonely time for me. :(

Do you know what people did before the lunar calendar???

I know it's mentioned for rosh chodesh how there would be a beit din called for witness to the moon sighting. I think that is probably what the Karaites would be doing even today. I have no idea what that would look like or what they do in cloudy or bad weather and can't see the moon when it should be out.

I don't know what relationship kiddush levana is with all that.

Are you going to be setup for Passover for this year?? Maybe next year you'll be running your own seder!!!! :)

The Karaites Korner has an article on it. New Moon

One thing I will say though that we manipulate the calender so that Yom Kippur never falls out on Friday or Sunday is NOT FOLLOWING THE TORAH. The day is clearly off sometimes so Yom Kippur will not fall on either of these days. In fact Nemehiah Gordon has an article how during the Yom Kippur war the real day of Yom Kippur was a day or two later. (Need to refind the article) and that was when we started winning this war.

I don't know what I am doing for passover. Last year one of the days I just read the Haggadah myself. It is a hard time also because it has been in the middle of busy season. Maybe I will have a Seder with one of the Karaites who live in the US.

Because anyway the Hagadah the way we practice it is just worshipping the male Rabbi's again. And making a son evil if he asks questions which the written torah doesn't see it that way as I am sure you remember that posting I had After all 10 year old boys should be saintly.

Anyway here is the link to that article.

bible quotes evil son but not righteous son

You want to celebrate Passover a month before almost everyone else with the Karaites??

Even if you do that I don't want you to be all by yourself for everyone else's Passover!!!! That would be so sad. Let me help you, not that I have magical powers, but how can anyone enjoy chag when a friend is by theirself :'(.

I hope by giving you link to Karaite website, you aren't going to turn into Karaite. Would be really hard to find someone when it already so hard as it is. Well being Samaritan would be even harder (yes they still around too), so hopefully you aren't going to lean that way.

Actually it all depends on the barley. If the barley doesn't sprout then it will be at the same time as everyone else.

I am just saying I will be alone because for the most part I don't feel a part of Rabbinic Judaism.

Searching for truth I have to say the criticism the Karaties have are legit.

Anyway sometimes Easter is not the same month as Passover as well.

The Rabbi's have done a good job of forming conformity just for the sake of it. I can't with a clean conscience just follow the Rabbi's because they have MORE MEMBERS.

That is not believing in God. Just about political power and we are right because of numbers which just because many people say the world if flat (or the majority at one point believed that) doesn't make it so.

Well, even if you don't like rabbis, I still think you shouldn't be all by yourself all week when everyone else is doing Passover. What kind of holiday is that you all by yourself?? Unless you're from kohains or converts, your relatives way back got out of Egypt and it all lead to you now!! That is good reason to celebrate!

You deserve to have nice time too. Even if you don't feel comfortable with going to a seder, I'll meet up with you chol hamoed or something so maybe your holiday will be a little bit better and maybe not so lonely.
